ISP / CLEC (2005-2007)

Working as a call/case technician to repair and maintain xDSL services (i.e. ADSL, IDSL, SDSL) both on and off the network. Work directly with our customers, on site technicians, ILEC’s and our ISP partners to create and work trouble tickets. Assisting end users with the initial turn-up process and work trouble tickets to resolution. Experienced with setting up, configuring and customizing DSL Equipment and dial backup (i.e. Efficient, Flowpoint, Siemens, Netopia, Paradyne, Cisco, and Netscreen routers/bridges). Skilled with building CPE to CPE to isolate network and configuration issues. Built and rebuilt both frame and ATM paths on our Alcatel network. While working with on site technicians am able to recognize and troubleshoot remotely on site issues including equipment problems and on site wiring. Worked directly with the various local Telco’s to test outside wiring.

Help Desk Technician (2004-2005)

In the computer repair lab I worked to manage the LAN and creating labs for students. Installed, configured, and maintained PCs, operating systems, software, printers and other peripherals in the lab. Used Windows Server 2003 to manage the client computers running various OS’s (i.e. Windows 95/98/2000/XP). Used Active Directory to manage users on the network. Used Norton Ghost to create and role out images. Assembled and repaired student and lab PCs. Installed lab switches, hubs and CAT5 cabling.
